Frequently asked questions
Which Word formats can I convert?
Upload one DOCX, DOC, ODT or RTF document at a time. PDF, spreadsheet, image and macro-enabled DOCM files are not accepted by this tool.
Is Word to PDF free?
Yes. Convert and download without signup or a watermark. The maximum upload size is 25 MB and the converted PDF must have no more than 200 pages. Complex or unusually large embedded content can exceed processing limits.
Will my formatting and fonts stay the same?
Supported text, tables, images, headers, footers and page layouts are retained. Fonts that are unavailable on the server may be substituted, and advanced Word features can look different. Review every page before sharing.
How does the PDF preview work?
After conversion, the PDF is checked and a read-only preview opens in your browser. Use Previous, Next or the page selector to review it. Preview supports PDFs up to 30 MB; larger results can still be downloaded. If preview is unavailable, download the PDF to review it.
Can I convert on my phone?
Yes. Choose a document from your phone, convert it and use Download PDF. The controls and page preview adapt to smaller screens. The preview is not an editor.
Why was my document rejected?
Empty, damaged, password-protected or unsupported files cannot be converted. Remove the password in your document editor and save a fresh standard copy. Embed linked images or objects before uploading.
Does conversion make my file smaller?
Not necessarily. PDF size depends on images, fonts and layout. The result shows its actual size. Use Compress PDF after conversion if you need a smaller file.
What happens to my document and PDF?
Conversion runs on the server over HTTPS. The uploaded source is removed after processing. The generated server copy expires within one hour or can be deleted using Delete server copy. Removing a document from this page only clears this tab. A PDF already loaded in your browser remains downloadable after its server copy is deleted.
