Choosing the right split method
Different scenarios call for different split approaches. Here is a quick guide:

Limits and output quality
Upload one PDF up to 25 MB and 200 pages. Selected-page output is limited to 200 pages, including repeats. Total generated PDF content is limited to 200 MB; use larger page groups or extract fewer pages if an output exceeds this limit. This tool copies PDF pages without turning text and vectors into images. Page sizes, cropping and rotation are retained. It does not split by a target file size: fonts, images and shared resources mean that page counts do not reliably predict megabytes. For smaller files, try Compress PDF. To discard unwanted pages, use Remove PDF Pages.

This tool copies PDF pages without rasterizing them. Text, vectors and scanned images retain their original content, with page size, crop and rotation preserved. Standard form fields and links on retained pages are supported. Splitting does not preserve the validity of digital signatures.
A PDF that requires an opening password must be unlocked first. PDFs using XFA forms must be saved as a flattened PDF before splitting.
